Hoag Names New Foundation President Amid Major Expansion in Orange County

Caroline Pereira, former executive fundraiser at UCI Health, will lead the Hoag Hospital Foundation’s philanthropic team and initiatives supporting Hoag’s ambitious growth in Irvine and across all of Orange County.

We are happy to share with you that the Hoag Hospital Foundation has a new president who joins the Hoag family on June 24. Caroline Pereira, a health care philanthropy leader, comes to our team with over 20 years of experience, mainly in academic health care. She has led the fundraising of nearly $1 billion for local health initiatives.

We are excited to have Caroline as our leader and begin a new chapter in Hoag’s continuous mission to advance health care in Orange County through philanthropy. She joins Hoag after nearly 11 years at the University of California, Irvine, where she served as associate vice chancellor for Health Advancement. As they conducted their months-long national search for the organization’s next president, Hoag leaders were moved by Caroline’s track record of achieving ambitious goals through innovative thinking and strategic collaboration.

“Hoag is known for providing the best in patient care, delivered by expert clinicians who are defining the medical landscape. I’m excited to be part of this team and work together to help Hoag impact more lives,” Caroline said. “It’s inspiring to know that there are such generous people who are dedicated to enhancing our communities.”

Caroline’s leadership will be key as the Hoag Hospital Foundation grows and our initiatives evolve to serve our expanding health care system. This is a major milestone in our organization’s history and the future of philanthropy-powered expansion at Hoag.

Sincerely,

Hoag Hospital Foundation
