The Hoag Classic, Orange County’s premier PGA TOUR Champions event, returns to the Newport Beach Country Club from March 16-23, 2025, bringing world-class golf, celebrity appearances, and an ongoing commitment to making a difference through philanthropy. Now in its 29th year, the tournament continues to shine as one of the most significant charitable events in PGA TOUR Champions history, having raised more than $25 million in total proceeds for Hoag’s programs and services, as well as local educational and military charities.

This year, the Hoag Classic is expanding its reach with exciting new events that celebrate both sport and community impact. The Newport Beach Celebrity Classic kicks off tournament week, featuring professional athletes and Hollywood stars in a charity competition benefiting Southern California fire relief efforts. The Hoag Classic Hall of Fame Community Breakfast will honor golf legend Jack Nicklaus as keynote speaker where Hoag Charity Sports will also induct the late Richard “Dick” Pickup into the Hall of Fame to honor him for his generous commitment to the tournament. After play concludes on Saturday, country music duo LOCASH will headline the Hoag Classic Sunset Celebration Concert.

With an all-star lineup of golf greats—including defending champion Pádraig Harrington, Ernie Els, and Fred Couples (players subject to change)—competing for a $2 million purse, the 2025 Hoag Classic promises an unforgettable week both on and off the green.
