The Circle 1000 Founders’ Committee welcomes former professional and collegiate football star Mark Herzlich as this year’s Founders’ Celebration Brunch speaker. Mark was an all-American defensive linebacker at Boston College when he was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, after his junior year. Determined not only to beat cancer but also to return to the field, Mark staged a remarkable comeback that ultimately scored him a starting position with the New York Giants. After resigning in 2014, Mark wrote a memoir, What It Takes: Fighting for My Life and My Love of the Game.
