2019 Donor Appreciation & Awards Dinner
Hoag Hospital Foundation Honors Donors and Volunteers
The Hoag Hospital Foundation recognized its leading philanthropists and volunteer leaders at the annual
Donor Appreciation and Awards Dinner held on February 19 at the Newport Beach Country Club.
“Philanthropy has made so much possible that it is changing the trajectory of what Hoag is today and what it will become in the future,” said Robert T. Braithwaite, president and chief executive officer of Hoag. “We express our genuine appreciation and gratitude for our donors’ generosity.”
In addition to thanking donors, the event recognized dedicated volunteer leaders with Vin Jorgensen Awards. A highlight of the evening was the “Together We Made a Difference” video featuring the impact of philanthropy to Hoag in 2018 including the transformational gift made by the Pickup family as well as video vignettes featuring each of the Vin Jorgensen Award winners.
Hoag Hospital Foundation President, Flynn A. Andrizzi, Ph.D., announced the Vin Jorgensen Award winners. “Hoag started out as the dream and intention of committed volunteers who believed that this community deserves outstanding health care close to home,” he said. “Our volunteers are also the secret to the remarkable success we’ve had with the Hoag Promise Campaign.”
